Getting started with Unique Learning System

This guide walks you through how to get started with ULS

You and your colleagues can get to know ULS by reading the whole guide, or just dipping into the sections that are relevant to you.

Science of Reading

All ULS units are aligned with the Science of Reading (SOR). ULS also offers specific ELA courses that are systematically based on SOR principles, complete with instructional guides, lesson plans, assessments, and scope and sequences that support literacy growth.

High School stacked courses

Custom pathways can solve the challenges of high school stacked courses, where teachers must simultaneously teach multiple subjects in a single class period, by allowing educators to deeply customize, organize, and share curriculum content.

Units and Lessons

ULS provides a new unit every month that covers reading, writing, math, science, social studies, and transition skills. Each unit includes a pacing guide to help you plan weekly.

Units are broken into several lessons, which include a lesson plan, differentiated student materials, clear instructional steps, and interactive iDocs for digital presentation. These allow you to teach to a whole group, small group, or independently.
