A few things you can do
Provide flexible ways to complete homework assignments
With Speech Input, your child can dictate equations directly into their device for automatic conversion into digital math. Alternatively, they can use a mouse or touchscreen to handwrite expressions that Equatio seamlessly turns into typed text using Handwriting Recognition.
Get reading support for word problems
Have any digital equation or text read aloud. This lets your child listen to the problem and focus on the math without struggling to decode difficult words.
Capture Math with a Smartphone
With Equatio Mobile, your child can snap photos of math from textbooks or handwritten notes. The mobile feature instantly turns these images into digital, editable math that's easy to add to their assignments.
Visualize Math and Science Concepts
If your child is a visual learner, Equatio offers tools that help make abstract concepts easier to understand. Using the Whiteboard, students can work through problems with virtual manipulatives, shapes, lines, and freehand drawing. Equatio also includes STEM resources such as a Desmos Graphing Calculator, Scientific Calculator, interactive periodic table, and 3D molecular viewer to support math and science learning.

Using Equatio at home
Sign in once on your child's device and the toolbar will be there waiting whenever they need it.
Four quick steps to get going
1 Open Chrome on your child's device
Look for the Equatio icon at the top right of the browser.
If it isn't visible, click the puzzle piece and pin it.
2 Sign in with their school account
Click the icon and sign in using the school login.
The toolbar will pop up across the top of the screen - it's already paid for by the school.
3 Try the toolbar together
Open a homework document and select a feature to support your child with their math work.
4 Get support
If the icon isn't showing, your child's school IT team can help - or check the FAQs.
Utilize the Equatio toolbar menu to open in app support right when and where you need it.

Math Mentor
When your child is working on advanced or multi-step math problems at home, they do not have immediate access to a teacher and may become stuck or abandon the problem. Math Mentor acts as a built-in tutor directly within the Equation Editor to provide immediate, real-time guidance and hints. This allows your child to work through difficult steps independently and successfully complete the math process without having to wait for external help.
